This October 21, we invite you to celebrate International Tequeño Day with us. This date was chosen in commemoration of the founding of the city of Los Teques (Miranda state, Venezuela) on October 21, 1777.
The initiative of this celebration aims to defend Tequeño as a Venezuelan product and Los Teques as the city that made it famous, by virtue of the fact that it has become another symbol of Venezuelan gastronomy, its traditions and idiosyncrasies.
This fried delight, stuffed with cheese and covered in dough, made with wheat flour, egg and butter, was recently among the 50 best-rated cheese dishes in the world. In the ranking of the famous gastronomic guide Taste Atlas, it was placed 18th.
