International Women's Day

Every year on March 8, the United States and the rest of the world recognize International Women's Day and honor the leadership, strength, and courage of women and girls. We in CHURROMANIA® we join this celebration, to recognize and exalt the role of women in society, home, work, social, political, economic, technological life and all other areas in which they perform.

Today it is recognized that the equal participation of women is fundamental to the peace and prosperity of our collective community. Women of courage are a source of inspiration for a better world. International Women's Day was promulgated by the United Nations Organization (UNO) in 1975, but it has really been celebrated long before, it finds its origins in the demonstrations of women who, especially in Europe, claimed at the beginning of the 20th century the right to vote, better working conditions and equality between the sexes. International Women's Day refers to ordinary women as creators of history and has its roots in the centuries-old struggle of women to participate in society on an equal footing with men. Women from all continents, often separated by national borders and ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic and political differences, unite on this day, they can contemplate a tradition of no less than ninety years of struggle for equality, the justice, peace and development.
