At CHURROMANIA®, we believe entrepreneurship is not only about building a business. It is also about opening doors, creating opportunities, and helping new generations transform their ideas into projects capable of making an impact.
That is why we are proud to announce The Churromania/Ariel Acosta-Rubio MP’24 P’27 Family Scholarship, an initiative at Babson College designed to support the education of future entrepreneurs and leaders interested in the world of franchising.
The scholarship is part of the opportunities offered for the 2026–2027 academic year through the Tariq Farid Franchise Institute at Babson College, an institution dedicated to connecting entrepreneurial education with knowledge and experience from the franchise industry.
For CHURROMANIA®, this initiative represents another way to contribute to the entrepreneurial ecosystem that has been part of our own story since 1997.
From Entrepreneurs to Supporting Future Entrepreneurs
The CHURROMANIA® story began with an entrepreneurial vision.
In 1997, Ariel Acosta-Rubio and María Alejandra Bravo started a project in a small 17-square-meter location in Venezuela. Through perseverance, planning, innovation, and teamwork, that vision grew into an international brand.
Along the way, franchising became an essential part of bringing CHURROMANIA® to new cities, countries, and communities, while also giving other entrepreneurs the opportunity to develop their own businesses as franchisees of the brand.
Today, that same belief in the power of entrepreneurship takes on a new dimension: helping prepare those who may lead the next generation of businesses and franchises.
The Churromania/Ariel Acosta-Rubio Family Scholarship
The scholarship is part of the academic opportunities offered through the Tariq Farid Franchise Institute at Babson College.
The Institute offers scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students and seeks to create opportunities for students interested in the franchise industry. Since 2023, dozens of students have collectively received more than $100,000 in scholarships, along with access to practical experiences and direct connections with industry professionals.
For the 2026–2027 academic year, Babson officially lists The Churromania/Ariel Acosta-Rubio MP’24 P’27 Family Scholarship among the scholarships available through the Institute.
This initiative connects directly with one of the values that has guided CHURROMANIA® throughout its growth: believing in people who have the determination to build something.
Why Invest in Entrepreneurial Education?
A great idea can be the beginning of a company, but turning that idea into a sustainable business requires preparation.
Future entrepreneurs need to learn how to identify opportunities, develop business models, build teams, understand their customers, make strategic decisions, and adapt to constantly changing markets.
In the world of franchising, that preparation becomes even more important.
Franchising brings together entrepreneurship, operations, leadership, expansion, brand building, and execution. Understanding how this model works can prepare a new generation of business owners to create opportunities for themselves and for the communities in which they operate.
Supporting the education of these future leaders means investing in what they may build tomorrow.
A Franchise Story That Continues to Grow
For CHURROMANIA®, talking about franchising also means talking about our own history.
Our expansion has been possible thanks to entrepreneurs who decided to become franchisees, take on the challenge of operating their own businesses, and represent the brand within their communities. Each new franchise represents much more than another location.
It represents an entrepreneur. A team. New jobs. New customers. A new community connecting with CHURROMANIA®.
That is why supporting an educational initiative related to entrepreneurship and franchising is a natural extension of our vision.
We want to celebrate those who are already building businesses while also helping those who come next gain more tools to build their own.
An Opportunity for the Next Generation
Perhaps you are currently a student interested in entrepreneurship.
Maybe you come from a family of entrepreneurs, are thinking about developing your own company, or simply want to understand how an idea can become an organization capable of growing. Every entrepreneur’s journey is different.
What matters is beginning to build the skills, knowledge, and relationships needed to transform a vision into action.
This scholarship aims to be part of that process and provide an opportunity for students who want to deepen their understanding of entrepreneurship and franchising.

The Next Great Entrepreneurial Story Could Start Today
Since 1997, CHURROMANIA® has been built around an idea that started small and dared to dream big.
That experience has taught us that behind every great company is first a person willing to imagine something different and work to make it a reality.
Through The Churromania/Ariel Acosta-Rubio Family Scholarship, we want to help create opportunities for new generations to prepare, learn, and build their own stories.
Because supporting the entrepreneurs of the future is also a way of building a legacy.
If you have a vision, a passion for business, and the desire to turn ideas into opportunities, this could be the beginning of your next chapter.
